Takuma Hayakawa

Born on February 2, 1989 in Komae, Tokyo, currently living in Watarai, Mie Prefecture. Intellectually disabled. Started creating at the atelier "HUMAN ELEMENT" in 1999. Has exhibited at numerous exhibitions and competitions both in Japan and abroad since childhood. Received the Encouragement Award at the Matsusaka City Art Exhibition in 2006 and the "For Your Dream Award" at the Mie Prefectural Exhibition in 2009, among other awards. Loves trains and idols, which are also themes of his work. When he creates a color he has never seen before on the palette, he expresses his joy by exclaiming, "That's great! I've never seen anything like that before!"
