Why we continue to create spaces where you can encounter "uniqueness" | Writer's One Day Store Staff Report

Good evening, this is Marie, one of our staff members.

The POP UP STORE was held at Tokyo Daimaru for seven days from November 20th to November 26th.
We had a lot of visitors and the event ended with a great success. Thank you very much to everyone who came.

This POP UP STORE tried for the first time "artists work as store staff for a day." Three artists enlivened the store over three days.

Even for those who were unable to attend, we would like to share some of the "ideal scenery" that Heralbony wants to realize, so we would like to share some of what it will look like.

Each one is overflowing with its own unique style.
Artist store staff

On the first day of the opening, Iga Kan'odoru came to visit us . He was wearing a classic shirt featuring his artwork, "Night View."
It was impressive to see him shyly bow in front of the many customers and carefully fold the handkerchiefs on display, all of which were typical of Mr. Kanedome, a man of skill and discipline.
On the second day, Satoru Kobayashi appeared at the store wearing a shirt featuring his artwork, "Summer Demon" (unfortunately sold out). He greeted many customers, including those who had purchased "Summer Demon" towel blankets .

Kobayashi Satoru feels calm when he has his back scratched. He is so popular that there are lines of people who want to have their back scratched or take photos with him, and there is even a "wait for Satoru" line.
On the final day, Kohei Sato appeared at a HERALBONY event for the first time. Sato has loved moving his body since he was a child, and has been attending dance classes since he was six. He is currently active as a "Barrier-Free Dancer KO-HEY."

Wearing a knitted scarf from her own creation, "Dinosaur Age," she chatted with customers who came to the store and even showed off her dancing skills!

On all three days, the store was bustling with customers and full of smiles while the artists were there. It was also very nice and impressive to see the happy expressions and actions of the artists themselves.

The thoughts behind the project.
The scenery that HERALBONY wants to realize

When HERALBONY holds a pop-up store or art exhibition, it is important that artists and customers spend the same time in the same space.

"Disability" does not mean "lack"
It is because of these differences that we can depict a different world.

Through the experience of meeting the artist, you can experience the charm and interest of the artist, and develop feelings such as "respect" and "admiration" for the artist. And the customer who experienced this can encounter new realizations, such as a feeling of affirmation of their own individuality.

We want to create a space where people can gather around artists and smiles spread across the room. HERALBONY wants to be a brand that can provide such a unique experience.

I hope that in the future the image of disabilities will gradually change, and I would like to continue creating a place where many people can encounter "uniqueness."

Store staff for one day event

Four unique artists will also be appearing at the currently running Kawatoku POP UP STORE.

Please take this opportunity to enjoy talking with the artists. What happens depends on the artist's mood on the day. That's also one of the best parts of this event.

We look forward to seeing you there.
