Mayumi Matsumoto

Currently enrolled at Nozomi-no-ie (Higashikurume, Tokyo)

Matsumoto loves walking, and even when he is in a wheelchair, his legs bounce up and down when he feels good. During painting class, he walks around with a brush that makes a bell sound, and paints while enjoying tapping and stroking. The way he paints is reminiscent of the joy he feels, and his bouncy touch seems to bring back fond memories.

Stand out

Intellectual disability.
Even within that single word, there are countless individualities.

It means that it's not "normal."
At the same time, I think that's a possibility.

HERALBONY works with artists from welfare facilities across Japan.
It is an art and life brand that aims to create new culture.
