The Grand Prize winner has finally been decided! "HERALBONY Art Prize 2024"
Hello. I'm Yuka, one of our staff members. The Grand Prize winner of the HERALBONY Art Award 2024, an international art award hosted by us at HERALBONY, was selected after a rigorous screening process from among a total of 1,973 submitted works.
The most prestigious variety is "Hyouka" by Haruka Asano.

Artist Profile
After developing schizophrenia at the age of 20, he continued to fight the disease while being repeatedly hospitalized. He began painting seriously at the age of 29. His award-winning work "Hyouka" was created from the artist's pure desire to be appreciated. This experience made him realize that it was okay to express his true feelings. The theme of this work is coral spawning on a full moon night, and the motifs of a starry sky, the universe, and a full moon are intricately painted on an open rice bag.

Art Exhibition "HERALBONY Art Award 2024 Exhibition"
The "HERALBONY Art award 2024 Exhibition" will be held from Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Earth Garden on the 1st floor of the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation East Building (address: 1-3-2 Uchimaru, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). The exhibition will display all 62 works by 58 artists, including the Grand Prix winners, 7 Corporate Award winners, 4 Special Jury Award winners, and the final judging panel.

This award is chosen by four judges, each with their own unique perspective. We have received many more excellent works than we expected, so we have decided to create this new award.
Artist Saturday, August 10th, opening day of the exhibition
Opening event held!
An opening event will be held to commemorate the first day of the exhibition. Grand Prix winner Haruka Asano, judges Hiromi Kurosawa and Christian Baast, and Heralbony Co-CEOs Takaya Matsuda and Fumito Matsuda will be taking to the stage. In addition, there will be a number of events, including a public art production by Haruka Asano and an art cruise conducted entirely in sign language. We look forward to welcoming you to this special day that marks the opening of the exhibition.

We at HERALBONY have launched a new international art award, the HERALBONY Art Prize 2024, on January 31st of this year, "Isai Day," with the hope that people with disabilities will be recognized for their talents as artists and be able to pave the way for further success.
I sincerely hope that this exhibition will be a historic step in changing the image of disabilities. I look forward to seeing you all there!
