Stylist Naoko Okusa's style: 2 fall styles using HERALBONY art scarves

What if a fashion professional wore HERALBONY items? How would they wear these colorful, artistic products in their private, everyday life? In this project, we will have each person choose an item, combine it with their own clothes according to their own sense of style, and share with us the key points of how to wear it.

This time, we have Naoko Okusa, a stylist with 340,000 followers on Instagram and admired by all adult women, who will be appearing. We asked her to arrange HERALBONY's popular staple item, the "silk scarf."

An artistic scarf that will add color to your chic autumn casual style

Among the many products, Okusa-san chose the silk scarf "Venice Fruit Boat" by the unique artist Hiroshi Yoshida. This is one of the new scarf designs used this year.

Style 1: A denim style that boldly utilizes the asymmetrical colors and patterns unique to art.

Okusa: This scarf is very attractive because of the asymmetry that comes with being a single piece of art. Scarves with classic patterns tend to be symmetrical and neatly put together. That's fine, but with a scarf based on a single painting like this, the asymmetry when folded changes the colors that appear, so I think it's interesting how you can arrange it in different ways depending on how you use it.

Tie the scarf on both sides of the bag to use as a handle. When you drape it over your shoulder, you can wear a bold color pattern like this. This item is a mix of many chic colors, so it goes well with tweed jackets and denim.

When you use a scarf in a large size, you feel like you are wearing a painting, and when you use it in a small size, you can enjoy the various colors that appear. People tend to use cloth items shyly, but it's actually okay to tie them tightly! I think that "boldness controls the cloth," and I think the secret to stylish cloth items like scarves is to use them boldly and consciously. Due to the nature of cloth, it is versatile. It can change shape freely, so it fits your body better when you tie it boldly. HERALBONY scarves in particular are made of soft silk, so they are very easy to tie and easy to wear, and I think anyone can use them.

Okusa: It's fine to wrap it around the handle, but I like to use it as the handle itself like this. The bold pattern supports the wearer and makes them stand out. Silk scarves are soft and smooth to the touch, so they fit well on the body and are easy to use.

Style 2: Use a black knit dress as a canvas and wear it like a multicolored choker

Okusa: I wore a multi-colored scarf like a choker over a large black one-piece. A long time ago, when I was an editor for a magazine, I did a project called "70 Scarves!" I tried 70 different styles, from belts to head wraps to ribbons (laughs). That's when I realized that boldness is important with scarves. In this look, I took the scarf and twisted it boldly, knotting it in a choker-like style.

The best thing about this scarf is the color. The base color is navy, and the parts that look black are not completely black, but are closer to gray or green, creating an exquisite base color. The vivid yellow stands out against it, giving it a European feel. If the color is around your face, it also makes your complexion stand out. The size is also basic and easy to use.

Naoko Okusa's lesson on how to tie a choker-style scarf

There are various ways to tie a scarf, but this time, Okusa-san chose to tie it around her neck like a choker. The knot is woven inside to make it compact, giving it a neat impression, while the various colors look random and beautiful. This time, she was given special instruction on how to tie a choker-style scarf.

① Fold the triangle into a rectangle to form a rod shape. Hold both ends and bring them from back to front, cross them in front, twist once, and then bring them back again.

②Cross again behind you!

③Bring it to the front again and tie it in a small knot.

④ Hide the protruding parts inside and you're done! Your colorful scarf choker is complete.

HERALBONY products have the power to remind us of the essence of art.

Okusa: When I saw the products this time, I was first captivated by the beauty and message of the products themselves, such as their design and coloring, not by the fact that they were made by people with disabilities. Whether it's Picasso or Van Gogh, the nature of art is to have a slightly different side to other people, and that is what makes it great. I think it's wonderful that they've managed to match this with style and a focus on fashionability in the products.

In the fashion industry, there is an aspect of analyzing market trends and what sells from a marketing perspective, and then creating products based on that, but this is the exact opposite. It's all about the work, and it's created from the appeal of the work. I was really impressed by its originality and the pure message it conveys.

I thought that if I wore this scarf, I might be able to talk to foreigners! I think that wearing a unique design can be a communication tool that connects people. Each piece has a story, so it's likely to spark fun conversations.
