5th Anniversary Appreciation Festival | "Unique Department Store 2023 Summer" will be held at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store from July 26th (Wednesday)
~Special exhibition and sale of original art by contracted artist Nozomi Fujita has been decided~
A pop-up store called "Isai no Hyakkaten" will be held for 14 days from July 26th (Wed) to August 8th (Tue) in the central hall on the first floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. To commemorate the 350th anniversary of Mitsukoshi's founding this year, artist Nozomi Fujita has created original art on the themes of "350th anniversary of Mitsukoshi's founding" and "5th anniversary of Heralbony's founding", and used it as the main visual.

Logos and signs are everywhere in the city.
He has loved symbols since he was a child, and he deconstructs them and then reconstructs them into new works.
Norito Fujita is an extraordinary author with such a unique style.
To commemorate the 350th anniversary of Mitsukoshi and the 5th anniversary of HERALBONY, we asked Fujita to create the main visual.
The symbol of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store is the magnificent statue of a heavenly maiden that rises from the central hall on the first floor of the main building to the fifth floor in an atrium, the familiar lion statue, and the Mitsukoshi logo. Fujita was shown the symbols related to both, such as the word Heralbony, and this work was born.
In addition to this work, three other works are on display and for sale at Isai Department Store. These works are reminiscent of the manifestation of new possibilities and regenerative power, fusing weight and lightness through Fujita's unique process of destruction and creation.
At the pop-up store, you can see and purchase original artworks by unique artists, as well as a wide range of new HERALBONY items. In addition, related events are planned for the duration of the event, such as an art cruise to introduce the many items incorporating art and the highly artistic works that adorn the venue, and live painting by artists .
