[HERALBONY | IWATEYA] Chocolate nanbu MAGIC

This chocolate was co-created by HERALBONY and Choco Nanbu, a popular brand from Komatsu Seika Co., Ltd. in Ninohe City, Iwate Prefecture.

It is made with 100% "Green Cacao," known as "the cacao that creates the Amazon forests." It is topped with crushed Nanbu Senbei crackers, strawberries, raspberries, and freeze-dried passion fruit for a colorful finish.

The can that holds the chocolate features a design by Toyoshi Yaegashi, an artist from Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture. The design features an unpublished piece by Kiyoshi Yaegashi titled "(Untitled)." After enjoying your chocolate, you can use the bag as a pen case or small item holder.

"Choco Nanbu MAGIC" was created through multiple sessions between Komatsu Seika and HERALBONY.

The work chosen for this project is a never-before-seen work by Kiyoshi Yaegashi. With the cooperation of the Lumbini Museum in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture, a piece suitable for this project was selected from a group of several hundred works.

Title of work: "(Untitled)"

Among the hundreds of works that remain by Kiryo Yaegashi, this is one from his "Architecture" series, which he painted over a period of more than 20 years. He painted all of his works in one go, from start to finish, without any hesitation or hesitation. The linear strokes that appear on the ink soaked into the drawing paper are reminiscent of the scene of his creation, as he regularly ran the marker over the paper, accompanied by a "squeak, squeak" sound.

◼︎Environmentally friendly manufacturing

Made from cocoa beans from Tomé-Açu, Brazil, which are cultivated using agroforestry methods that contribute to the protection of forest resources and a stable income for producers, the resulting couverture chocolate is characterized by its fruity acidity and powerful cocoa flavor.

The packaging is made using CacaoMix®️, which makes effective use of the cocoa bean skins that are generated during the chocolate manufacturing process.
