New places. New people. This is the season to encounter many new things.

With the arrival of pollen, just like a spring greeting, I'm spending more time at home. It's good to boldly change your interior and feel the fresh air, but even just changing the cushion covers or adding more types can change the atmosphere of your room and refresh you, making you feel excited to face the next day.

There are 10 types in total. Which one will you choose to match your room?

HERALBONY offers 10 types of cushion art. These products were created in collaboration with Kawashima Selkon, a long-established fabric manufacturer founded in Kyoto in 1843. I like that the cushions are filled with plenty of cotton and have a soft, chewy filling, so they don't wear out easily and can be used for a long time. The covers are also removable and washable, so they're always clean. Of course, you can also purchase the covers separately, so you can change your favorites to suit your mood.

Combine two art cushions

It would be nice to choose your favorite from the 10 available and place just one there, but by combining cushions with different art, I made some new discoveries.
Until now, I thought that if I put different pieces of art in the same space, their personalities would clash and I wouldn't be able to fully utilize each piece's appeal. However, when I coordinated a room using cushions, I was surprised to find that by having multiple pieces of art coexist, each piece brought out the beauty of the other and blended in with the overall room.
However, for those of you who don't know what art to choose, we would like to introduce some recommended combinations of art cushions according to the style of your room.

If you have a simple room with a white or beige base

(Right) Cushion "Numbers"

If your room is dominated by white furniture and fabrics, try some art cushions with bright, vivid colors to add a pop of color. Midori Kudo's "(Untitled) (Blue)" has a beautiful blue main color like pouring rain, and "Numbers" by Satoru Kobayashi, an artist who creates works with a strong obsession for connecting numbers and letters, is a combination that brightens up the room like a sudden ray of light .

Pastel colors for a feminine room

(Right) Cushion "Festival"

For beige and pastel colored interiors, use art cushions with overlapping pale colors. Higo Miyuki's "Square, Circle and Triangle" and SATO's "Festival" art cushions are both watercolor paintings with a soft impression, making a perfect combination. They will add a gentle touch to a pastel colored room.

If you have a monochrome room

For those who like the inorganic atmosphere of monochrome, we recommend a combination that allows you to enjoy the contrast of colors: Sanae Sasaki's Kuromaru and Kira Yaegashi's colorful yet striking deep hues, the art cushion "(Untitled) (House)."

By the way, both of them were born and raised in Iwate Prefecture, and are artists who are enrolled at the Lumbini Museum in Hanamaki. The Lumbini Museum is a welfare facility that is also a museum, and it was this museum that inspired our company president, Matsuda, to start his own business. It's wonderful to choose art while feeling that story and connection.

A Japanese modern room with tatami mats

(Right) Cushion "Space"

In fact, we often hear from customers that "HERALBONY art goes perfectly with Japanese tastes." If you want to match it with a Japanese modern interior using wood and bamboo or a room with tatami mats, how about Michiyo Yaegashi's "Word Processor" and Fumie Shimaoka 's "Space" art, which are striking in red? By incorporating them into cushions, they look like works that exude a Japanese scent. It seems like you can spend some relaxing time leaning back on the cushions on the tatami mats.

A refreshing marine feel

For a marine-themed room, we recommend Yukihito Okabe's work "Hoo! Hey!", which goes well with west coast-style interiors and marine blue, and Midori Kudo's work "(Untitled) (Blue)," which has an impressive blue like rippling waves. The refreshing, unusual art will make you feel the sea breeze and brighten up your room.

Vintage style room

In a vintage-style room, a combination of bold art cushions that stand up to the heavy interior decor will look great.

The creative styles of Kishaba Moriya, who continues to be passionate about painting small dots and squares, and Yaegashi Kiryo, who has been painting buildings in his own unique style for over half a century, also have something in common with vintage furniture, which enjoys the passage of time.

Add some unique art to your sofas and rugs.

For those who want to create a sense of unity in their room with the same art, we recommend the sofa and rug mat of artist SATO's "Festival". The art mat, made by a textile manufacturer in Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture, is a large mat that is soft to the touch and thick, making it the perfect size for a living room rug. By the way, although it is made to order, there are also single-seater sofas and stools, so it would be fun to make a room all Festival-themed.

There are 20 types of sofas and stools in total

If you want to enjoy more art combinations, how about combining an art sofa with an art cushion? For example, the two-seater sofa "Wind Rondo" is bright and has a strong presence by itself, but by placing the art cushions "Space" by Fumie Shimaoka and "Square" by Moriya Kishaba on it, the colorful art will stand out even more.

HERALBONY sofas and stools come with 20 different types of art to choose from, so you can enjoy arranging them in your own way.
