OTHER ART

HERALBONY's art neckties are luxurious items made from 100% silk, born from a collaboration between traditional Japanese techniques and unique artists.

This delicate art has been faithfully reproduced using the silk weaving techniques of Ginza Taya, a long-established textile store. By using ultra-fine threads, the density of the fabric is increased, making it easy to tie and create beautiful knots. The three-dimensional weave and elegant luster created by the artisan's skill are perfect for special events and formal occasions.

Enjoy a unique and special style with art ties, the origin of HERALBONY.

Product Features

■ A delicate weave and elegant luster that expresses art

The sophisticated silk weaving technique that reproduces the brushwork of the unique artists is done by artisans at the Taya Textile Workshop in Yamagata. By letting the weft threads fly without pressing them down as much as possible, a glossy, three-dimensional effect like a bas-relief sculpture is created.

■ Knots that are easy to tie and do not lose their shape easily

A typical necktie is made of "one row, three layers" fabric, with three threads lined up in a line, and no threads on the back (middle) of the fabric, where the pattern is not visible. Ginza Taya's fabric is "one row, six layers." It uses more than twice the number of colors as usual, and the threads are firmly threaded on the back (middle) to maintain a uniform thickness without unevenness. In addition, because it uses ultra-fine thread that is half the thickness of normal threads, the fabric is dense and has a supple texture. This keeps the knot from falling apart and keeps it beautiful, resulting in a comfortable fit.

About Ginza Taya

Taya was founded in Ginza in 1905 as a Western-style small goods store. They sold imported goods, known at the time as karamono (Chinese goods). The store was visited by Western-style gentlemen as well as foreign residents in Japan. As time passed, the company was one of the first to start making ties domestically, and has continued to this day as "Taya Ties." Today, their original products also include shirts and jackets, and like their ties, all of the fabric is woven in their own workshop.

お手入れ方法 The delicate weaving that expresses art and the subtle, refined luster are made possible by the silk weaving techniques of artisans. You can extend the life of your item by storing it on a hook or hanger to prevent it from losing its shape or getting wrinkled. If you cannot store it hanging, store it rolled up. Please refrain from washing or dry cleaning as this may damage the original texture of the tie or cause it to lose its shape. Also, please be aware that friction and abrasion can cause scratches and pilling.
